In 1928, William A. Bowry, 14, arrived at Fremantle, Australia, in a group of 52 boys from the Child Emigration Society, The Strand, London, England.

Bill Bowry was in the Australian army from 1940 to 1946, with 472 days overseas service. He worked for the WA railways, based in Northam.

He married first Margaret May Day about 1940.

He died at the Charles Garden Hospital in Perth, Australia, in 1976.
