In 1956, R. E. Holoway, 10, arrived at Fremantle, Australia, in a group of 11 children from 38, Holland Villas Road, London, England, c/o Miss D. Hall. He was placed at Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra, Australia.

Roy Holoway died July 13, 1980, aged 33 years. He is buried at Fairbridge Cemetery. The cemetery is located a couple of kilometres past the farm and beyond the second gravel pit. Containing some 24 graves, this is a very secluded and peaceful resting place. The cemetery is well tended.
