In 1911, Ronald Jempson, 3, was found residing at Hosey Hill, Westerham, Kent, with his father Edward G Jempson, 33, mother Emily L, 32, and siblings - Leonard, 4, Muriel, 1, and Kenneth, 9 months, also residing in the household was his uncle Richard Jempson, 19, and a visitor Anna Maria Gilbey, 59.

On April 26th 1924, Ronald Jempson, 16, departed for Australia on board SS Demosthenes, his previous address given as Dr Barnardo's Homes, Stepney
