In 1934, Daisy Lyons, 11, arrived at Fremantle, Australia, in a group of 22 children from the Child Emigration Society, 115, The Strand, London, England. She was placed in Clive Cottage at Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra, Australia.

Daisy Lyons died August 5, 1935, aged 13 years. She is buried at Fairbridge Cemetery. The cemetery is located a couple of kilometres past the farm and beyond the second gravel pit. Containing some 24 graves, this is a very secluded and peaceful resting place. The cemetery is well tended.

Daisy's story does not seemingly end here. Daisy reportedly haunts the main house, which was once the residence of Kingley and Ruby Fairbridge. There are rumors about her death which say that she fell from the top story window of the residence, and was nursed in the home until her death. A number of people claim to have seen her spirit in one of the bedroom windows. Numerous paranormal researchers have visited the old Fairbridge Farm to research this haunting.
