A birth registration was found for Edward A Withers: Mother's Maiden Surname: Moore; Date of Registration: Jan Feb Mar 1920; Registration district: Birmingham; Registration county: Warwickshire; Volume Number: 6d; Page Number: 437.

In 1930, Edward Withers, 10, arrived at Fremantle, Australia, in a group of 16 children from the Child Emigration Society, Strand, London, England.

Edward A. Withers died July 28, 1934, at the age of 14 at Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra, Western Australia. He is buried at Fairbridge Cemetery. The cemetery is located a couple of kilometres past the farm and beyond the second gravel pit. Containing some 24 graves, this is a very secluded and peaceful resting place. The cemetery is well tended.
